A warm and friendly welcome to our 71st year of the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech.
Each year, the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech provides an opportunity for many hundreds of young people to perform in public and benefit from advice and encouragement from acknowledged experts in their field. Running the Festival is a complex, demanding task and fortunately, we have a committed, enthusiastic and capable team of volunteers, but we always need more help. Jenny trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, gaining awards for Character Acting and Most Promising Teacher. Rosemary Field (b 1957) has spent her working life in the church, both as a practitioner and as a teacher and encourager of other people’s gifts. Timothy Barratt studied on a Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, winning many major awards, and completed his studies with Vlado Perlemuter in Paris and Geoffrey Parsons. Kay Tucker was born in Sheffield, Yorkshire and began studies on the cello at the age of 12, continuing studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
