Volunteer with us

Each year, the Chichester Festival for Music, Dance and Speech provides an opportunity for many hundreds of young people to perform in public and benefit from advice and encouragement from acknowledged experts in their field.

Running the Festival is a complex, demanding task and fortunately, we have a committed, enthusiastic and capable team of volunteers, but we always need more help. Perhaps you could become part of our team. It needn’t be a major commitment on your part, just a little of your time. Because most of our entrants are children, for some roles it may be necessary to perform a background check on new volunteers.

Just some of the areas in which you could help include:

  • Showing participants to rehearsal and performance areas

  • Assisting adjudicators

  • Preparing venues

  • Setting up seating

  • Helping with parking

  • Publicity

  • Selling tickets and programmes

  • Preparing mailshots

  • Preparing and selling refreshments

We do all we can to make the Festival an enjoyable experience for all concerned, including our volunteers. We are a friendly and welcoming group and would be delighted to hear from you.

If you feel you’d like to help, please click on the ‘I Can Help’ button. This will display a form asking for a few brief details about you and the areas in which you feel you can assist. The form can be completed online, there’s no need to print and post it, simply fill in your details and click on the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom.

Once we receive your form, we’ll be in touch very soon.
