Adjudicator Spotlight: Anne Hodgson BA, FTCL, LTCL

Anne Hodgson was a Junior Exhibitioner at the RCM and went on to study with Ann Cherry and Averil Williams.

She is passionate about music education and teaches flute at Lancing College, Brighton College and Hurstpierpoint College.

Anne enjoys a wide variety of music making, from orchestral performing to working with patients in care homes and hospices and playing in a folk band.

Anne is also a founder member and bass flute with Sussex Flutes flute ensemble and a regular concerto soloist. Anne has been a Trustee for the British Flute Society for many years, and runs an adult BFS flute ensemble.

In her spare time, Anne is a keen salsa dancer and charity fundraiser, having cycled through Rajasthan, Vietnam and Cambodia in aid of GOSH and St Peter and St James hospice.

Anne has been a BIFF adjudicator for many years and is very much looking forward to adjudicating at Chichester this year.


Anne will be adjudicating the Woodwind and Recorder sections in our 68th Annual Festival.
